Multiple Listing Download

In an effort to reduce manual entry errors, and eliminate the massive redundancy of manually entering listings into your accounting system, the ML download offers an intelligent solution.

Although listing records can be entered manually into the DPN system, this approach is time consuming and prone to error, especially for higher volume brokers.

By using an automatic download, the current listing inventory can be transferred from your ML Board to your DPN REBS system without manual entry, and downloads can be scheduled as often as necessary to keep the database current.

Each time a new listing, or listing change, is entered into the ML system it is automatically downloaded and added into the DPN listing database. New listings create new records and changes update existing records.

Listings can be attached to a sales contract, aggregated into production reports, printed to a "hot list", or printed individually.

A history record is also maintained on the system with the date of download and other status information. These history records are utilized by several other eSolutions functions, such as the Home Owner Activity Report.

Since data is only entered once, and downloaded into a single database, errors are reduced significantly. All DPN users "see" the same listing information and updates are timely and consistent.

As most ML boards purge their data after a short period of time, your ability to mine past listings for marketing or statistical necessity is eliminated. With DPN and the ML Download, data is available for as long as the broker deems necessary.

This allows brokers to extract the names and addresses of all closed properties for the past year, or the last decade, and send a personalized "form letter" to all their buyers and sellers through the DPN Letters Module.

The DPN download system is "template driven" so it can easily adapt to single or multiple boards. The template translates the ML Board fields into the corresponding fields in the DPN database. By changing the template, other boards with different formats can be downloaded and merged into a single consistent format.

Each ML Board supplies a text file containing new or all listings, then the listing data file is transferred across a network to the DPN accounting server where it is processed by the Download Interface.

The file is processed through the template, all cross-references are then completed, and a check is made for validated fields. If a validation error is discovered in the data, it is flagged for notification in an error report alerting the system administrator.

After completing this process, the data is now accessible with your DPN system.
